A Vibrant Community

Ask any of the parishioners and they will tell you that in this parish has never been dull. Between the mixture of the
Welsh and Irish descendants of this parish we have seen a wide civersity of culture and fun flow through our parish.
If you ever visit the parish, and we sincerly hope you will, stop some of our mature parishioners and ask them
about people like "Pussycat Fitzgerald" and "Tin Legs Reilly" and you will hear some stories. We have had some
keen sportsmen in the community like Francis Patrick Leigh (rugby player twice capped for Wales, 1921 & 1923)
and William Martin Banks who earned 19 Welsh Caps at Rugby League level.

As well as some characters and sportsmen, the parish was also known for it`s dancers and musicians. To this day
the parish has it`s characters and memorable events, if your around the Parish Hall on St.Patricks Day you`d better watch out!! We could go on forever about this topic, but to give you an idea, Click on the links to see some
photographs of some of the memorable moments within the parish.
